Sakura [saa-kur-uh] is inspired by the stunning pale pink cherry blossoms found in Sakura, Japan. In fact, the most common of all the cherry blossoms are called "Sakura" or Japanese Cherry. Located in Chiba prefecture, Sakura has been inhabited since prehistory and is home to the National Museum of Japanese History. Sakura blossoms are seen as a symbol of renewal, rebirth and new beginnings. Sakura blossoms only bloom for a brief time - best viewed during Spring time in Japan.
Sakura is best described as a muted pink nude, nearly opaque with two coats.
